If I could do anything over again
It would be to spend more time with you
But that’s not how things work in this thing called life
I guess we did all we were meant to do
But…
I would have reached out to you more often
I would have suggested we meet for dinner or a drink
I would have stopped holding grudges and anger inside
I would have fought harder to keep our relationship in sync
I would have opened the door instead of leaving it closed
I would have told you I love you a little bit more
We all take for granted
Each hour and day
We assume we have more
And we always say…
"Let’s do it tomorrow, or some other day"
But there might not be a tomorrow
or some other day
So let's make the most of right now
Let's do that today
I don’t want to do it all over again
I don’t want to lose what we had
I don’t want to sit with regret in my heart
I no longer want to be sad
Instead, I will visit the place in my heart
Where all of our memories are stored
I will smile and laugh, and I am sure I will cry
And I will always wish there were more
I don't want to do anything over again
I don't think it would change a thing
I will make more effort to enjoy right now
Not wondering what tomorrow might bring
My gratitude cup is filled to the brim
Of the times I did have with you
And for that I will always be thankful
I hope you are feeling that too

Aloha, Gabby
What a beautiful way of showing how we can transform the ”what if’s and would have’s,” into a potential “will do.” We cannot change the past, nor the future; however, we can alter our present experiences to reflect how we can use the past to make a better, now.
Hindsight is only 20/20 if we make some change. 😊❤️
