Ritual and Ceremony

As a hospice nurse and an end-of-life doula, I often use rituals and ceremonies to comfort patients and families. I will share some of my rituals with you, inspiring you to take them and make them your own. I will also encourage you to participate in the candle lighting rituals I will be presenting, not just to add to your practice, but for your own personal comfort as well. You might be surprised by the relief you will experience.

Candle lighting rituals can help reduce various emotional burdens, such as regret, guilt, anger, disappointment, abandonment, stress, anxiety, and grief. I have witnessed this for others, but also for myself, in fact I have implemented many rituals in my daily routine to help me with my own self-care. This insight is what inspired me to provide these classes.

I offer two choices: one focuses on grief and another on forgiveness. Each class includes two group rituals that may be challenging but are also very healing.

You will need:

Something to take notes

A candle and a lighter

Water or juice to stay hydrated

Each class is 1 ½-2 hours.

Note: I also offer private ritual classes, which are one hour (unless more time is needed) and designed especially for you and what you need.

The next classes are as follows:

GRIEF

Sunday, April 13th, 10am-12pm Pacific Time

FORGIVENESS OF SELF & OTHERS

Sunday, April. 27th, 10-12pm Pacific Time

Cost for each class is $25 (US dollars).

Two spots will always be available for those who want to attend but cannot pay the course fee.

The Scholarship Fund

I offer two scholarship spots for all of my classes so that anyone can take them, and finances do not get in their way. I have been asked how someone can donate a scholarship spot, so I have created a donation page for that purpose.

All donations will go directly to allowing someone else to take a class.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

"This is a wonderful course. I am a hospice nurse, and I have been using one of the rituals I learned from Gabby, with my families after their loved one has died.

I want to learn more." LR

"I didn't get to say goodbye to my grandmother before she died. Gabby shared a beautiful ritual with us in class that I did later, leaving me feeling as though my grandmother received my message... the things I didn't get to say before she died." HG

"I recently took the ritual & ceremony class and am beyond grateful for the experience. I learned so much and was able to connect with other like-minded individuals. Gabby's passion for making the end of life transition peaceful and meaningful is truly inspiring. I would highly recommend taking her course."

"I did this class with my mom, we really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone. As Gabby says,

you will leave with a take-away." LP

"You will probably cry in this class, but it is the kind of cry that you will feel so much relief from afterwards." JH

"The forgiveness class was amazing, I recommend it to anyone, and everyone!!" SS
